Dollar Radio Rentals

Reinventing Two-Way Radio Rentals Through Logistics, Technology, And Reliability

For decades, renting two-way radios has been a surprisingly complicated process. Event organizers, production crews, and security teams often had to call vendors, wait for quotes, coordinate chargers and accessories, and manage complicated equipment returns. Even though the radios themselves were reliable and widely used, the rental experience around them often remained inefficient and outdated. Dollar Radio Rentals Dollar Radio Rentals (DRR) set out to change that. Founded more than 15 years ago, the company has focused on simplifying the entire two-way radio rental process — from ordering and deployment to charging and returns. Rather than trying to differentiate through the radios themselves, DRR redesigned the operational system around them. “We disrupted the industry,” says Chris McConnell, Owner of Dollar Radio Rentals. “Everyone rents similar radios. We redesigned how they are packaged, shipped, charged, and returned. That is where the advantage really is.” Simplifying the Rental Experience While many companies in the industry still rely on manual quotes and phone-based ordering, Dollar Radio Rentals built one of the most advanced e-commerce platforms in the radio rental space. Customers can place their entire order online, select rental dates, adjust quantities, and replicate past orders in minutes. For organizations that run recurring events — such as conferences, races, touring productions, and multi-site security operations — the ability to quickly reorder equipment eliminates a significant amount of administrative friction.

Cloud4Wi

Transforming Connectivity into a Strategic Asset

Andrea Calcagno, CEO

What shift is redefining enterprise WiFi from connectivity tool into strategic business asset? Cloud4Wi is built on a fundamental shift: WiFi is no longer just a connectivity layer—it is a strategic business asset. Our AI-first, cloud-native platform enables enterprises to connect people and devices through secure, frictionless access, unlocking measurable business outcomes while slashing IT overhead. “The next decade of enterprise networking will be defined not by how well we connect people, but by how intelligently we connect everything else. Cloud4Wi is building the platform that makes this possible,” says Andrea Calcagno, CEO. Traditional enterprise WiFi relies on shared passwords and manual logins, creating friction in environments where users move across multiple devices and locations. Cloud4Wi eliminates these barriers, ensuring seamless connectivity without compromising security. In this model, WiFi evolves into an operational assistant—automating secure access and turning raw data into actionable intelligence. Secure, frictionless WiFi as foundation How does automated onboarding and data capture improve user experience and enterprise visibility? This shift impacts user experience and enterprise results. Automated onboarding increases connection rates and reduces friction, driving higher adoption. Each interaction generates structured, consent-based data, giving enterprises visibility into user behavior within physical environments.

Structured Cabling

Quantum Communications

From Cable Chaos to Clarity

Jason Johnson, Owner

What challenges arise from unstructured cabling in network installations and server room environments? Most network installations function perfectly well, but step inside the server room, and the racks tell a different tale. Cables crisscross overhead, bundled wherever space allows, forming a maze that future technicians must navigate. For them, that lack of structure often turns routine maintenance, upgrades, or troubleshooting into time-consuming guesswork. For Jason Johnson, and his wife, Heather Chee, owners of Quantum Communications, that kind of installation is where he excels. Johnson’s path into the field began with an associate’s degree in electronic engineering, followed by early work installing security systems. He later worked as a civilian contractor supporting military projects, where precision was non-negotiable. Cables had to be aligned properly, installations had to meet strict standards and there was no margin for approximation. When Johnson and Chee founded Quantum Communications in Northwest Arkansas, the idea was every installation must reflect the same precision, discipline, and uncompromising standards. “From the beginning, we wanted our installations to look as good as they perform. Every wire has a place, every rack has a structure, and years later, someone should still be able to walk in and immediately understand the system,” says Johnson. How does structured cabling improve long-term maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting efficiency? In practice, the approach requires patience and attention to detail. Many installations in server rooms function correctly, yet leave cables running in multiple directions with little consistency. Quantum Communications takes a more disciplined route. The team routes cables cleanly into racks, straightens them along the way, and terminates each line in a consistent order.

Reengineering Telecom Operations through Simplicity, Structure and Scale

Telecom Business Review continues to examine an industry defined by operational complexity, where reliability, infrastructure discipline and cost visibility are becoming central to performance. This edition highlights how organizations are simplifying telecom operations while scaling efficiency across distributed environments.

Our cover story, Dollar Radio Rentals, recognized as the Top Two Way Radio Rental Services 2026, demonstrates how operational redesign can transform a mature category. Instead of competing on hardware, the company rebuilt the rental experience through logistics, digital ordering and deployment efficiency. Its e-commerce platform removes manual friction, while integrated charging cases consolidate storage and power, enabling rapid setup with minimal effort. Combined with nationwide shipping and a delivery guarantee, the model reinforces reliability through process discipline. With a fleet exceeding 5,000 radios and the ability to support deployments of varying scale, the company shows how system design drives measurable advantage.

Quantum Communications, recognized for Telecommunication Cabling Services, addresses a persistent infrastructure challenge: disorganized network environments. By enforcing structured cabling standards and precision-led installations, the company improves long-term maintainability and reduces operational inefficiencies. Its work across residential, commercial and institutional projects reflects a consistent focus on clarity as a functional requirement rather than an aesthetic preference.

Recognized as the Enterprise WiFi Platform of the Year 2026, Cloud4Wi is redefining connectivity as a strategic business asset through its AI-first, cloud-native architecture. By enabling secure, frictionless access and transforming network interactions into actionable, consent-based insights, the platform empowers enterprises to enhance customer engagement while optimizing operational efficiency at scale. Its vendor-agnostic design and global footprint further reinforce its role in advancing intelligent, data-driven WiFi ecosystems.

From a leadership standpoint, Sedrick Ware, Sr Director – DTS Network, Operations & Digital Workplace at Kimberly-Clark, highlights the shift toward data-driven, integrated telecom expense management, where automation enables real-time visibility and cost optimization. Greg Goldshteyn, Manager of Quality Assurance at Fox Networks Group, further emphasizes how AI-led automation is accelerating testing while maintaining quality standards.

Together, these perspectives reinforce a clear takeaway: telecom leadership now depends on simplifying complexity through disciplined systems. The companies and insights featured here provide a grounded
