Clearing the spectrum

It is predicted that policymakers will start to take the initiative to remove the spectrum for 5G and beyond in 2021. In 2021, operators began to map out locations, with the first use of the C-band expected to commence in metropolitan areas in late 2021 or early 2022. Until June 2023, C-band will not be accessible to MNOs and their subscribers in various suburban areas. Over the next 18 months, 100 MHz of contiguous mid-band spectrum in the 3450-3550 MHz band is awaited to be available for 5G on top of CBRS and C-band.
