Once a use case has been defined, Regal can incorporate a client’s particular network element(s) and emulators, or the entire network into its testing platform. It sets up and tears down the entire test compute environment on-demand without manual intervention. Upon integration, customers can create custom configurations for test scenarios. Clients who need historical information or reference use cases can leverage the data available on the platform.

The platform is also integrated with machine learning (ML) capabilities that allow complete end-user visibility. Depending on an OEM or operator's requirements, the algorithms can be tweaked accordingly, to provide substantial information from the logs collated from the test data.

An OEM providing complex, high-performance solutions to Tier-1 telecom service providers, was the first Regal customer that approached Telaverge. They had to produce performance data such as transaction details, the number of transactions, their compute environment, and relevant KPIs to prove that their product(s) were thoroughly tested and ready to deploy into the customer’s network. Due to the high volume of SS7 transactions, around 350,000 TPS, a vast system with eight nodes, and a host of other physical assets, testing would have been complex and time-consuming. Telaverge quickly integrated the OEM’s applications into the Regal platform and expedited the transition into a fully automated zero-touch testing process within a month.

Much like OEMs, telecom operators also face a spate of challenges in their testing workflows. They often find it difficult to regularly upgrade the software and end-user applications while testing new specifications and integrating them into their offerings.
